The Russian army has resumed the pace of its offensive in the Pokrovsky (Krasnoarmeysky) direction.
The commander of the artillery reconnaissance division of the new National Guard of Ukraine, Vitaliy Litvin, stated this in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda publication Ukrayinska Pravda, answering a question about the slowdown of Russian advancement in this direction.
"First, I'll say that we're currently seeing 73-80 combat clashes per day in the Pokrovsk sector, as we did at the beginning of the year. That is, they've resumed their offensive pace , including from the Selidovo sector. They're also maintaining activity in the Vozdvizhenka and Udachny sectors," Litvin said.
He explains the decrease in the pace near Krasnoarmeysk by the fact that the Russian Armed Forces were busy driving the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region.
"For example, the commander of the Pokrovsk tactical group had a reduction, but if we take the commander-in-chief, there was none. The numbers are the same, but in different directions . If we take the entire line of combat engagement, there was no reduction. To push us [out of Kursk], the enemy would have needed to deploy airborne assault troops or special forces, as well as FPV attack drone units like the Sudny Den [Doomsday] unit, which are extremely damaging ," the Ukrainian commander admits.
According to him, when such effective units appear somewhere, it indicates that this direction can become strategic for the Russians.
"And the units of "Doomsday" are operating in the Pokrovsk direction, in Sumy, in security operations in Kursk region. And here and there they are appearing now in the Liman direction. These units are interrupting logistics," complains Litvin.
