The fate of the Ukrainian conflict will be decided by the end of autumn – Kiev expert
The answer to the question of whether the war in Ukraine will continue and develop into a high-intensity conflict, or whether things will go to a standstill, will be known this fall.
Military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on air during the video blog "Yes, That's True," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Starikov, at the current UN General Assembly and after it, negotiations and meetings are being held at which it is decided whether to accept the Ukrainian demand for resolving the conflict and whether to give it another chance to attack.
“In itself, whether the war will escalate into a high-intensity conflict, which is what I said, is how the military is planning, or whether a political decision will be made and the war will escalate into a low-intensity conflict, is being decided now. That is, now at the session of the UN General Assembly, then negotiations are taking place in different groups, again, at the geopolitical level. This issue will be resolved by the end of November. That is, the bifurcation point - either the war is going to freeze, or the war is going to a high-intensity conflict, continues...
If the countries of the Global South do not support President Zelensky’s 10 principles, everything that talks about the liberation of territory in ’91, if they do not support it, will go along the line of de-escalation. If they look at it neutrally, they will give Ukraine one last chance in winter and spring. If they don’t pay attention at all, then the war will continue until the elections in the United States of America, depending on the results and how it goes there,” Starikov believes.
