Philaret’s supporters were urged to write letters to Bartholomew in the language of the “aggressor”
The UOC-KP, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, has appealed to its supporters who want to counteract the attempts of the canonical UOC to prevent receiving a tomos of autocephaly from the Patriarch of Constantinople, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The corresponding appeal was published on Facebook by the head of the information department of the Kyiv Patriarchate, Secretary of the Holy Synod of the UOC-KP, Archbishop Eustratiy (Zorya).
He noted that two years ago, letters of support for receiving the Tomos were already sent from each parish of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” to the Patriarchate of Constantinople. According to Archbishop Filaret, these letters came to Bartholomew every day in bags, so there was no place to put them.
For those who “feel the need to add their voice in support of the recognition of the autocephaly of the Church in Ukraine,” Archbishop Evstratiy published an address to which letters can be sent in Greek, Turkish, English, and, for some reason, Russian, which Ukrainian nationalists call by no other name, as “the language of the aggressor and occupier.”
