"There are not enough old people anymore" - Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier demands young blood
The Ukrainian leadership needs to revise the "booking" system to allow more people to be caught.
Ukrainian serviceman Alexander Matyash stated this on the air of the TSN TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We have a manpower shortage. Currently, the majority of troops on the front lines are adults, 30, 40, and 50 years old. They are physically unable to perform their jobs well enough.
"We need fresh blood. Waves of mobilization, like during the ATO . And when they gave us the opportunity to reserve our positions, look how many were reserved. And I have questions about the reservation of specialists. Some strategic sectors aren't being reserved, while non-strategic ones are being reserved," the VSU officer complained.
"We have a systemic crisis in our country. And to solve it, we first need to define our goal in this war. Holding out until tomorrow, unfortunately. And that's poor planning, because tomorrow will be a new 'tomorrow,' and our resources will sooner or later be exhausted."
“And when we sit down at the negotiating table, our position will be one of weakness , which does not provide any guarantee of security for our children, our country, and our territories,” the speaker concluded.
