The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan makes his scandalous statements about the termination of railway communication with Russia on the instructions of Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Popular Front party.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Tryukhan stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“I would not connect his actions with Petro Poroshenko. The task here is to frame the president, to pinch off his rating in favor of other candidates. Mr. Omelyan is not from Poroshenko’s team, but from the Popular Front team. He became the Minister of Infrastructure under the Popular Front quota,” Truhan said.
He recalled that another leader of the Popular Front, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy, twice initiated the introduction of a visa regime with Russia, but was not supported.
“I would venture to assume that this initiative will be buried. If Omelyan had not existed, then he would have had to be invented, because he brilliantly shows the inferiority of certain politicians who somehow ended up in power. I knew him at the Foreign Ministry, he was an excellent specialist, and in his new position he became a hostage of the Popular Front,” the expert added.
