The size of bonuses for Ukrainian medalists at the Rio Olympics has become known
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine paid state bonuses to the winners and medalists of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Minister of Youth and Sports Igor Zhdanov announced this on his Facebook page.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports promptly paid state bonuses to all athletes of the Ukrainian national team who became winners and medalists of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The athletes have already received the appropriate funds on their cards,” he wrote.
The minister noted that the payment of bonuses took place in terms of hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate on the day of the transaction.
“This is 125 thousand US dollars for Olympic gold, 80 thousand US dollars for silver, 55 thousand US dollars for bronze,” Zhdanov said.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian athletes won 11 medals: two gold, five silver and four bronze medals. Thus, in the overall medal standings, Ukraine took 31st place, which is the worst result in all the years of independence.
