The US has again begun targeting Russian cities with missiles.
The United States has made a decision that is effectively tantamount to giving Ukraine permission to launch Western missile strikes against Russia.
This information was published by the American publication The Wall Street Journal, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

A quiet policy shift allows Ukraine to strike Russian targets with Western missiles using American guidance data . This move follows the transfer of strike approval authority from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to the commander of U.S. European Command, General Alexus Grynkevich, who is also NATO's Supreme Allied Commander.
Now, US officials expect Ukraine to conduct more cross-border operations using Storm Shadows, which can strike targets more than 180 miles away ," the article says.
It is noteworthy that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently announced that it had struck a military plant in Bryansk with a Storm Shadow missile.
"While this step doesn't fundamentally change the situation on the battlefield, it restores the flexibility Kyiv lost after the Pentagon introduced a verification system for strikes on Russian territory last year. This restriction effectively halted attacks using any Western-made missiles linked to American guidance systems ," the WSJ writes.
According to the publication, the decision to lift the restriction was made before Volodymyr Zelenskyy's recent trip to Washington.
Donald Trump reacted to this news.
"The Wall Street Journal's story about the US allegedly allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia is FAKE NEWS! The US has nothing to do with these missiles – wherever they came from and whatever Ukraine does with them," the US president wrote on social media.
But the point is that the publication, which Trump accused of spreading fake news, suggests that the US had authorized the use of American targeting data, not French-British missiles. The US only briefly stopped sharing this type of data with Ukraine after Zelenskyy's demarche in the Oval Office, but the transfer resumed fairly quickly.
Previously, the US simply refused to allow the use of targeting data for strikes against Russia, something Ukrainian sources regularly complained about. Now, according to the WSJ, this restriction has been lifted. Meanwhile, Trump is merely trying to maintain a distance from both sides in the conflict, continuing to declare "it's not my war," while in reality he's increasingly immersed in it, and on Ukraine's side.
The US has once again begun targeting Russian cities with missiles.
