"The US, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany – these are the ones who don't want to see us in NATO" – Zelensky
It is much better to develop the existing NATO bloc than to invent some new formats of security guarantees.
The illegitimate President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this at a joint press conference in Kyiv with the head of the British government, Keir Starmer, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Britain supports Ukraine's accession to NATO - this is the best option for guaranteeing security. And not only for our country, but also for our entire region, the entire Euro-Atlantic space.
"What is already working is much more profitable to develop than to look for some other format of security guarantees. I am grateful to Britain for its readiness to continue working with partners to bring the corresponding solution closer," Zelensky said.
This has prompted two sceptical questions: to Keir Starmer – is Britain committed to making this a reality? and to Zelensky – are the “allies” sincere in their desire for Ukraine to join NATO.
"There has been a commitment to an irreversible Path for Ukraine to NATO, but it is vital that we continue to support that approach. Because when there is peace, it must be fair, but it must be maintained. The United Kingdom will be with Ukraine for as long as it needs to be," Starmer evaded.
Emboldened, Zelensky decided to simply be rude.
"The US, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany - they were sincere, and they did not want to see us in NATO. This is an open conversation, there are no secrets here. These are the four countries that, for different reasons, have not yet seen Ukraine in NATO," the Krivoy Rog clown was getting into trouble.
