The US plans to create AI-powered data centers in space.
American billionaire Elon Musk's companies are developing a reusable rocket that will launch equipment into space to create solar-powered data centers to power low-cost artificial intelligence.
Elon Musk himself announced this at the forum in Davos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Space X hopes to achieve full reusability this year, which is something no one has ever achieved before. That's significant in terms of the cost of access to space... The cost of that is equivalent to the cost of a small or midsize jet ... Hopefully, we'll prove full reusability of Starship this year. And that will be a remarkable invention because the cost of access to space drops by a factor of 100 when you achieve full reusability," Musk said.
According to the businessman, this will make it cheaper to launch large satellites into space:
"And if you place solar panels in space, their efficiency will increase fivefold, maybe even more, compared to those on the ground. It's always sunny there, there's no change between day and night, seasons, or weather. And the power in space is about 30% higher because there's no atmospheric attenuation. Ultimately, solar panels in space will generate five times more energy than on Earth ...
Building solar-powered AI data centers in space is an obvious solution… And it will be possible in two, three years at the latest .”
