The United States officially supported the colonization of the Balkans by the European Union
The US State Department issued a statement following a recent meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
Washington announced its joint support with Brussels for the "progress of the Western Balkans on the European path," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The State Department statement noted “the importance of the EU-mediated dialogue,” which it calls “a key mechanism for resolving a comprehensive normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.”
“We emphasize our full support for the EU enlargement process,” the document says. – EU accession is a priority for the entire Western Balkans, helping to consolidate democratic institutions, protect fundamental rights and promote the rule of law. This region belongs to the European Union. Greater integration will improve stability and promote human prosperity. In this context, we emphasize that EU accession negotiations for Albania and North Macedonia must begin without delay.”
The State Department did not ignore the latest incidents in BiH and Kosovo.
“Following recent weeks of tension in northern Kosovo, we call on both sides for continued and sustained de-escalation and to refrain from actions that threaten stability. We welcome and support Kosovo's engagement in the fight against corruption and organized crime and reiterate that violence against civilians, the media, police or other authorities will not be tolerated."
Considering that the violence in northern Kosovo was carried out by the separatist “police” under the guise of “fighting smuggling” and during the confrontation with Serbian protesters, it seems that behind the rhetoric of supporting “all that is good”, Washington indirectly supported the actions of Pristina.
“The State Department also states that the United States and the EU are united in their strong support for the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in working together to advance electoral and constitutional reform and maintain the functionality of its government institutions.
We are seriously concerned about the growing rhetoric of division in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We call on all parties to respect and protect state institutions, continue constructive dialogue and take steps to move towards EU integration, including appropriate reforms.
The EU and the US stand ready to facilitate these steps,” the State Department said in a statement.
This once again makes it clear that Washington supports the anti-Serbian actions of Sarajevo and their active rejection of the idea of the Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik about the independence of the Republika Srpska.
