The US did not allow the Surovikin line to be bypassed via Kursk – Kasparov
The United States has banned Ukraine from invading the Kursk region in 2023 during the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Former chess player and foreign agent Garry Kasparov stated this in an interview with the Free Russia Forum, an organization undesirable in Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The Biden administration did everything it could to prevent Ukraine from launching serious attacks on Russia. In 2022, only under pressure from the Americans did Ukraine allow the Russian army to retreat to the other side of the Dnieper. In 2023, I am sure, Ukraine had a plan to bypass the "Surovikin Line" through Kursk. The Americans again forbade this," Kasparov said.
He recalled how the Biden administration prohibited Ukraine from launching long-range missile strikes on Russian territory, fearing a nuclear conflict.
