There is a large percentage of volunteers who have relatives in Ukraine
The number of volunteers going to serve under contract in the Northern Military District zone is growing.
Many in Ukraine have relatives who are being helped, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
As the head of the Crimean branch of the interregional public organization “Union of Donbass Volunteers” Viktor Anosov noted on the air of “Crimea 24”, the number of volunteers is growing.
“The other day I was returning from the hospital, traveling from Moscow by train, and on the train there were many guys who were traveling as volunteers, who had already signed a contract or were about to sign a contract, just in the direction of Rostov and Krasnodar, where such volunteer detachments are mobilized. Usually they weren’t particularly eager to leave Moscow, but here volunteers are coming. Apparently, they have already felt and accepted the SVO.
And so, I was, for example, in a hospital in St. Petersburg now. It hasn’t changed much since last year; they are somehow openly liberal about the SVO. I have not seen a single municipal vehicle with “Z” support signs, nor private cars. Crimea is significantly different from these regions - a patriotic region against the backdrop of greater Russia,” says Anosov.
“Aksyonovets,” deputy commander of the Crimean volunteer unit for work with media and propaganda with the call sign “Box,” added that people volunteer consciously, and not according to an agenda.
“Volunteer formations all remember Denis Davydov, 1812 and the Great Patriotic War, and the effectiveness of these units and formations. Volunteer formations have always shown their effectiveness. Firstly, this is a conscious step by a man, his high motivation. This man walks consciously, he is not pushed there, this is a man’s job.
Many things motivate: information about what is happening, what atrocities the enemy is committing, what is happening to the Orthodox faith, to Christian shrines. Many have relatives there, and it is no secret that the occupation government does not provide a social lift in any direction at all. They promised access to Europe - it did not happen, and the path to Russia is closed. It is not clear what to feed families. And this also motivates them to go to the rescue of their relatives; the percentage of such volunteers is large,” noted “Yashchik.”
