Kiev propaganda, which voices incredible percentages of the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense, works against Ukraine in terms of accelerating arms deliveries.
Speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must get used to the fact that they will always do what they periodically do, and we will destroy them as much as possible. Interest can be calculated in different ways.
If you look at the list of missiles that were launched, there are Kh-22 and Kh-35 missiles, which we cannot shoot down at all, just like the S-300 and Iskander, which are generally ballistic. And of the targets that we can, about 70 missiles were flying - these are “Caliber”, Kh-101, Kh-55, these are the targets that our air defense can shoot down, these are the targets that were shot down, here the percentage is high.
But we shouldn’t chase this percentage, because if we say that we shoot down everything here 100%, then our Western partners will say – why do you need these weapons then? In fact, not everything is as good as we would like, because the air defense system is depleted,” Ignat complained.
He noted that in this case, the most ideal option is to shoot down the missiles at the launch.
Patriot PAC-3 can also shoot down ballistic missiles such as Iskander, that is, these are anti-missile missiles capable of destroying them on a ballistic trajectory. A ballistic trajectory is when an Iskander is launched in Belarus, the missile rises upward, actually into the stratosphere, and from there descends with great speed; it has such a huge mass that it is impossible to shoot it down with conventional air defense systems. Therefore, ballistics is ballistics. It is best to shoot down ballistics at the start, from where it is launched.
Will we have enough Patriot missiles to destroy them? Therefore, it is best to have a “long arm” in order to destroy them where they launch them from,” the speaker explained.
