"Thanks to the Ukrainian warrant officers for stealing everything" - Russian army officer
Over thirty years of independence, Ukrainians have stolen almost all Soviet weapons reserves.
This was stated on the air of “Vashi Novosti” by writer Yevgeny Nikolayev, who is fighting in the international battalion “Pyatnashka,” a correspondent for “PolitNavigator” reports.

"Don't forget that Ukraine was the most heavily armed republic of the Soviet Union. The Western Military District was located in Ukraine, which was supposed to start and, within six months, without the support of other districts, fight with all of Europe.
That is, part of the army had to go to Sicily, part to Perenea, part through Holland towards the English Channel. Therefore, there was a huge amount of Soviet equipment there,” Nikolaev said.
He emphasized that, thanks to the thieves’ mentality, these weapons depots did not survive thirty years of “independence.”
"Of course, the Ukrainian warrant officers did a great job. Thank them very much. They sold everything of high quality they could to African countries . Thanks to them.
But much remains. Furthermore, virtually all former Warsaw Pact countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, and others, have sent all their old equipment back to Ukraine . Everything is returning to normal, including the equipment," he added.
