Unlike the blackout in Crimea in 2015, it will not be possible to quickly restore power.
This was stated on the air of the Crimea 24 TV channel by the adviser to the head of Crimea, energy expert Renat Karchaa , reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
"They're burning out rather complex systems that you can't just buy at the store. They can be replaced with a diesel generator, or with some other method, but only temporarily ... We must understand that there are things that, for example, the government and the power companies themselves often don't control , because the burned-out parts have to be purchased, delivered, installed, and put into operation. This time, well, is sometimes difficult to predict..."
“When it was 15, it was difficult, of course, they did the impossible, they did it all in a short time, but no one burned down the infrastructure the way they are doing now ,” Karchaa said.
Another adviser to Sergei Aksyonov, political scientist Denis Baturin, called on Crimean residents to secure their own independent energy sources:
" You can find a wide range of comments online – from supportive, 'We'll hold out,' to 'How much longer?' Well, let's understand that there are levels of responsibility. Yes, the republican authorities are doing everything within their authority, within their capabilities... Transformers aren't manufactured in Crimea . So, they need to be delivered. This is where interaction with the federal level takes place..."
"What can everyone do for themselves? Some of us bought ourselves a small power plant," Baturin said.
He suggests that both Crimea and Sevastopol will have a "program to compensate 50% for energy equipment—solar power plants, inverters, and storage devices."
