The Russian Security Council called Washington’s actions in launching a missile strike on Syria “an act of aggression contrary to international law.”

“The meeting expressed deep concern about the inevitable negative consequences of such aggressive actions for overall efforts in the fight against terrorism. “Regret was expressed regarding the damage to bilateral Russian-American relations that was caused in connection with the strikes on Syrian targets,” reads a statement on the Kremlin’s official website.
The Security Council also discussed issues related to the continuation of the Russian Aerospace Forces operation to support the anti-terrorist operation of the Syrian armed forces.
