Kyiv, February 28 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The introduction of a state of emergency in Ukraine remains one of the options for developing the situation due to the events in Crimea.

Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy stated this at a briefing in Kyiv.

“This is one of the options for the development of events,” he said in response to a question from journalists about the possibility of introducing a state of emergency.

However, Parubiy admitted, “the state of emergency does not provide an opportunity to use the army, it does not provide additional forces.” To do this, martial law must be introduced in the country, the secretary explained.
