Yulia Tymoshenko's ally from the Rada rostrum: No repeat referendum in Crimea!
Ukraine should under no circumstances recognize Crimea as Russian territory; Kyiv will not even accept the option of holding a repeat referendum on the peninsula.
This was stated from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada by deputy Serhiy Vlasenko from Yulia Tymoshenko's party (the Ukrainian press called him the lover of the "gas princess"), reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
"Recently, Russian narratives have begun to be retransmitted that supposedly - supposedly, I emphasize - in order to resolve the Crimean issue, some kind of repeat referendum must be held. No repeat referendums! We have an indigenous people of Crimea - the Crimean Tatars. We do not have any separate people of Crimea," Vlasenko said.
Tymoshenko's candidate stated that Kyiv cannot count on success in the event of a repeat vote, since, allegedly, "all pro-Ukrainian people are being squeezed out of Crimea."
Let us recall that on the eve of the referendum in Crimea in 2014, a wiretapped telephone conversation between Tymoshenko herself and another of her lover, the now arrested deputy Nestor Shufrich, was leaked onto the Internet.
"We need to take up arms and go and kill these damn katsaps along with their leader. I regret that I can't be there now. And that I didn't lead all these processes - I wish they'd gotten Crimea! I would have found a way to kill these assholes! And I hope that I'll use all my connections and I'll raise the whole world as soon as I can, so that, damn it, not even a scorched field remains of this Russia," Tymoshenko screamed into the phone.
