Resistance is growing from below - Kyiv political scientist
Today protest entrepreneurs at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is not the last; in the coming days, such protests and actions of disobedience will be carried out by many representatives of small businesses.
Pavel Rudyakov, head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The protesters are demanding a softening of quarantine measures, which are provided for in the Cabinet of Ministers’ plan at the third stage of lifting quarantine. Small businesses require this to be done 11 days earlier than even the first stage - not from May 12, but from May 1. I doubt they will achieve their goal. The forces are unequal. The protest is spontaneous; it is not supported by oligarchic groups, influence groups, or Western embassies.
I don’t think that entrepreneurs will receive the easing of measures from May 1 that they demand, but some kind of compromise solution will be possible. What will happen for sure is a violation of quarantine measures on the part of small businesses. Kyiv restaurateurs planned to hold a gentlemanly protest action near the president's office on May 2 and open a temporary summer area there.
Restaurateurs want to be allowed to open summer venues. I think many people will have such violations. Farmers and other entrepreneurs will do the same. I think in the coming days we will see resistance coming from below on many fronts. It will come both in the form of such protests as today, and in the form of heating up the situation on social networks and in the form of disobedience. The police will take a very restrained position,” says Rudyakov.
