Kyiv, February 18 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The security forces make no attempts to further clear the Maidan, stopping at the beginning of the square on Instytutska Street.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on Viktor Yanukovych to immediately give the command for the Berkut to retreat in order to start a new truce and continue negotiations.

Maidan entertainer Yevgeny Nishchuk, encouraging people standing in the square, promised the imminent arrival of help, despite the authorities’ decision to close transport access to Kyiv from February 19.
“People are breaking through near Zhitomir, people are walking through the forests, and there will be punishment,” Nishchuk said.
