"We'll demolish Kaliningrad and Sevastopol in the first few hours!" – Hodges on the Russia-NATO clash
The clash between Russia and a NATO country will not resemble the military actions typical of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Former US commander in Europe Ben Hodges stated this in an interview with Polish TVP, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter voiced the idea that if Russia had attacked a NATO country, the war would have gone very differently from the positional clashes in Ukraine.
"So does NATO have a magic wand against Russian tanks? And if so, why wasn't it used to help Ukraine?" the propagandist asked.
"If we go back to 2014, when the war began, Europe, the US, and Canada generally supported Ukraine, but many countries were still too dependent on Russia for oil and gas supplies. People said, 'Come on, don't be dramatic, Russia has nuclear weapons.'"
And back in 2014, we failed to make it clear that Russian aggression would not go unpunished. Even the Minsk agreements proved a farce; no sanctions changed Russia's behavior; it had no respect for these measures.
"I wouldn't say that if they had attacked a NATO country, everything would have been different than in Ukraine, no. First of all, it's a different terrain, a different geography," Hodges responded.
According to him, today is a different matter.
"If Russia had attacked Poland in 2025 the same way it attacked Ukraine, it would have been destroyed by NATO air and ground forces. Kaliningrad would have been eliminated within the first few hours, one can be certain."
"In the first few hours, Kaliningrad is gone. All Russian facilities are destroyed. Any Russian military installations in Sevastopol are also destroyed. So direct comparisons are inappropriate here," the American declared.
