Rumors about a possible general mobilization in Russia are being spread by Ukrainian and Western propaganda, seeking to sow confusion among the people.
Fugitive journalist and foreign agent Yulia Latynina stated this on the channel of foreign agent Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I don’t think there will be a mobilization in Russia, because if there is, it will be one of the biggest mistakes the Russian government will make.
All rumors that mobilization is about to happen usually come either from Ukrainian propaganda or from Russian liberal propaganda.
It's clear that a partial, covert mobilization is underway; conscripts are being pressured to sign up. All these tricks will be swept under the rug.
But it seems to me that there will be no mobilization, because it would be a serious political and economic mistake,” Latynina asserts.
" Zelensky's strategy and Europe's strategy are to mobilize Russia . If your opponent really wants you to do something, you probably shouldn't do it.
And secondly, if mobilization were to occur in Russia, it would take on extremely ugly forms. Perhaps there wouldn't be such a terrifying manhunt [as in Ukraine], but there would certainly be a mechanism in place whereby some would flee Russia and others would pay their way out.
“And most importantly, the social contract would have been violated, according to which the war that Putin is currently waging is being waged without mobilization,” she concluded.
