“Servant of the People” is dragging Zelensky to the bottom
For more than a year in power, President Vladimir Zelensky and the Servant of the People party have lost support, demonstrating disregard for the interests of the country and the rule of law.
The director of UIAMP, Ruslan Bortnik, announced this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In particular, Zelensky should not have stated that the so-called “Derkach tapes” containing compromising material on former US Vice President Joseph Biden and ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko are not a priority, and Kyiv should not interfere in the internal political situation in the United States.
Earlier, in an interview with the British publication The Telegraph, Zelensky said the following about the films: “Why do we need to drag Ukraine into this again? ... We now have bipartisan support in the United States - both in Congress and in the Senate. We have the support of the president. These records are not a priority."
“For Ukraine, bipartisan support [from the United States] is important, but it is secondary. The first priority for Ukraine is the rule of law, working laws, and a functioning Prosecutor General’s Office. Derkach reports a crime, he makes public statements about possibly committed crimes. We have no right not to investigate them. Our task is not to think about how the United States will react, whether support from the Democrats will remain, as Trump uses it. The task is to ensure that all these statements are investigated,” the expert commented on Zelensky’s statement.
He believes that another example of disregard for the rule of law is the impunity of deputies.
“For 2010-2014, more than 10 deputies were brought to justice. The deputy from the majority, Markov, even went to prison. From 2014 to 2019, the previous parliament - 12 deputies from whom parliamentary immunity was lifted, initiated investigations. And already in a year without parliamentary immunity - not a single prosecution. That is, parliamentary immunity did not interfere,” the political scientist notes.
According to him, the decline in the popularity of the party in power has led to the fact that the Servant of the People brand is now minus the candidate’s rating in the region.
“The situation has changed. They are disappointed in the president, they are disappointed in the parliament, they are disappointed in the “servants”. The brand no longer operates. These people do not have a success story, which is critical in these elections. This doesn't work anymore. Now the Servant of the People brand is minus the candidate’s rating in the regions. I see sociology, I see how in some regional centers candidates have higher ratings than Servant of the People, the party for the city council,” said the political scientist.
He does not rule out that another government resignation is quite possible.
“Voting for this budget is a vote of confidence in the government. If the budget is not supported, the parliament does not find a vote for the budget, then this government will resign. So far, I see that this process is very complicated,” Bortnik concluded.
