Donate for elevator generators! Kyiv residents are being instructed ahead of a "tough winter."
Kyiv residents need to begin preparing their apartment buildings for winter blackout conditions themselves, rather than relying on the government.
The former head of the state-owned company Ukrenergo, Vladimir Kudritsky , announced this on the Pro UA channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"When the government tells us it's going to be a tough winter and we need to leave the big cities, it's not a serious conversation. Not everyone can leave. Not everyone can afford it, some have nowhere to go, and some can't due to health reasons.
"Therefore, in the case of apartment buildings, I would advise people to cooperate with neighbors to at least provide generators for the elevators . This would allow people with limited mobility to somehow get out and buy their medications," Kudritsky said.
" Heating systems for buildings also need to be equipped with pumps that pump coolant to the upper floors, and diesel generators.
"I understand that all this requires a collective effort, and different families have different situations. But there needs to be an element of self-organization here. Just like setting up shelters where people can wait out attacks," the speaker added.
