Scandalous revelations of an Odessa writer: “The war in Donbass is not ours, but Donetsk is alien to Odessa, like Lviv”
Both the Galicians and the residents of Donbass are equally alien to the residents of Odessa, and the war going on in the east of Ukraine does not concern the residents of Odessa in any way, because no matter who wins it, the residents of Odessa will not be better off.

Odessa writer and political publicist Vsevolod Nepogodin made such scandalous revelations on his social network page.
“NOT OUR WAR! Recently, as a resident of Odessa, I have somehow become completely indifferent to the massacre in Donbass. The fact is that this is not a civil war, but rather a war between Ivano-Frankivsk and Donetsk. Open the map and see a curious thing: from Odessa both to Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk are 540 kilometers. We, Odessa residents, are equidistant from two centers of hatred production. Both Donetsk and Galicians are equally alien to us Odessa residents. With any winner of the war in Donbass, Odessa will not get any better,” Nepogodin writes on his social network page.
According to Nepogodin, Odessa residents are distinguished by their sociability and habit of negotiating.
“The Donetsk and Galicians are less diplomatic than us, which is why things came to war for them. We don't need the Donetsk people with their Soviet-military dullness, the merry fellows. We don’t need the Galicians with their archaic, centuries-old aggressive nationalism either. Odessa should distance itself as far as possible from the war and not allow representatives of the militarized Donetsk and Galician ethnic groups into its lands. Odessa needs to concentrate its efforts on fighting so that both Donetsk and Galicians will not be able to come to our house with their charter in the future,” the writer confesses.
In conclusion, Vsevolod Nepogodin addresses the residents of Odessa with a demobilizing call to “abstract from what is happening in the east.”
“People of Odessa, it is not our war going on in Donbass! There are absolutely no interests of our city there! Abstract from what is happening in the east and, believing in the theory of small things, it is better to focus on something useful for our Odessa! Plant flowers in the flower beds in the courtyards, put things in order in the entrances, paint seascapes, but just don’t bother yourself with the showdown between the Donetsk and Galician people, I beg you!” he sums up.
