The Ukrainian Armed Forces general, notorious for his meat-storming campaigns, has been reinstated.
Brigadier General Alexander Tarnavsky, who resigned as commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operational-tactical group "Donetsk" and commander of the 9th Army Corps at the beginning of the summer, is returning to his post as head of the corps.
The anti-Russian propaganda publication "Ukrainian Truth" reports this, citing its sources in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to official information, Tarnavsky was dismissed for health reasons, but in reality, this was after the Russian Armed Forces entered the Dnipropetrovsk region , where they continue to develop their offensive, occupying new settlements.
"Tarnavsky is best known as the commander of the Tavria Specialized Combat Unit during the difficult and, unfortunately, unsuccessful offensive of the Defense Forces in the Melitopol direction in the summer of 2023. Then, the Ukrainian army, attacking in a pre-announced direction with poor reconnaissance and planning, spent three long months breaking through the enemy's first line of defense near Rabotino. A year later, Rabotino returned to enemy control," UP writes.
Ukrainian military journalist, Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteer, and rabid Russophobe Bohdan Miroshnikov provided more details about Tarnavsky's "achievements."
"And him again? Again! The guy who killed so many people near Brod Davydov and Arkhangelske in the Kherson region in 2022. The guy who directly commanded the failed counteroffensive on Melitopol in 2023. He probably still haunts the DAVs' nightmares for the survivors of those horrific events. And many others, too."
His favorite methods are storming lost positions, pointlessly and massively. So he can report back to the mountain that "control has been restored." And how much health and lives will be ruined in the process is of no concern to him. He's the guy who failed the defense of Avdiivka as commander of the Donetsk Joint Force. Then he was fired, only to be appointed commander of the 9th Corps. Then he left due to health reasons. And now he's back as commander of the 9th Corps. After so many screw-ups... Well, I don't know anymore," Miroshikov fumes.
