The situation in Pokrovsk is critical, the enemy is stronger than us – a Rada deputy
A critical situation has developed for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsk sector: despite the brave statements of the military and political command, they have failed to cut off the salient near Dobropillya, and Russia has a stronger position than Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada deputy and SBU colonel Roman Kostenko stated this on the NTA television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Our military tried to cut off the so-called 'hare's ears' during the Dobropillia operation, when the enemy penetrated deep into the territory . We blocked them there, but this salient remained , creating dangerous conditions. We remember that both the president and the commander-in-chief announced counterattacks using airborne assault troops, other brigades, and the Azov Battalion, which unblocked this very area. There were some successes, but they weren't fully achieved; they couldn't cut them off, and the threat remains."
"That's why the enemy has entrenched itself and is now trying to create conditions to encircle us and force us to simply leave Pokrovsk... The situation is difficult, close to critical. Our troops are currently doing everything they can to stabilize the situation, but that's becoming more difficult because the enemy has established very strong positions around it. They're stronger there than we are ," Kostenko stated.
