The appointment of a new Minister of Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has had no impact on the persistent problem with supplying drone units.
This was stated to "Ukrainska Pravda" by Kyiv military propagandist and current commander of the UAV unit in the "Charter" brigade, Yuriy Butusov , as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
" The situation with drone supplies is simply dire! It seems like no one in the country, other than the troops conducting the fighting, cares about it.
"There's been no change in approach— the shortage remains the same under previous ministers. We're receiving a paltry number of drones, which are completely inadequate for even limited combat missions," Butusov complained.
He also pointed out problems with replenishing troops.
"The reinforcements that are coming in are absolutely insufficient to generate reinforcements and restore the troops. It's very little . There's no system in this matter."
Until our front-line units receive adequate reinforcements, a huge number of people have been allocated by mobilization order of the new commander-in-chief to form new brigades of unmanned systems.
Instead of strengthening the strong component, strengthening those who are already capable, new units are being created that will train for another year or two to reach the level of combat readiness that the front-line units have,” the Ukrainian propagandist lamented.
