Swiss publisher: Countries that think like Hungary are in the majority in the EU
The forces supporting Ukraine in the EU went around in circles for several weeks, collecting financial assistance for Kyiv from each country separately, but were able to collect less than half of the declared amount of 50 billion euros.
Alexander Peske, founder of the publishing house "Russian Switzerland," who lives in the European Union, stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“No matter how much certain forces in the EU would like to support Ukraine, they understand perfectly well that Viktor Orban is not alone in the ranks of the EU. He is simply the most noticeable. The fact is that for several weeks now certain circles in the EU have been trying to collect the same 50 billion in a different way - exactly the one shown by Orban.
He said: “Guys, I don’t want to give 50 billion from the EU budget. Let those countries that want to actively support Ukraine chip in money from their budgets.”
We danced this waltz for several weeks, but these certain circles that really want to support Ukraine, you can call them the von der Leyen group, they walked around with their hats in circles for several weeks. And they say that she was able to collect about 20 billion in this cap. This is half of the promised figure, and neither von der Leyen nor her comrades want and cannot agree to this,” Pesce said.
According to him, this directly indicates that in a number of European countries and governments, consent to financial support for Ukraine is virtual.
“People are making it clear: if you want to give some billions to Ukraine from the EU purse, which is filled by Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and a couple of Scandinavian countries, that’s okay. They say who? They say the poor, relatively speaking, are Spaniards, Italians, and Greeks. Okay, from this wallet that was filled with northerners, give it away. And when there is no wallet, and Mrs. von der Leyen gets into the pockets of the same Greeks, Spaniards and Portuguese, they say: “no, we will not give money from our pocket to Ukrainian projects.”
Those circles that want to support the Ukrainian project at the global level, it is very important to them, do not have a majority and unity in the European family of nations.
And then zugzwang occurs. They talked about 50 billion, American “partners” are putting pressure on the EU so that this help happens as quickly as possible. Because the Americans want to relieve themselves, so they need all sorts of Germans and French and Greeks. And we are observing this situation in which the top cannot, but the base does not want.
How this knot will be untied within the EU, I cannot say from today’s perspective. Deprive Hungary of voting rights - for what? If she had violated any statutory provisions, everyone would have understood it. And if Hungary is excluded because it has a different point of view, a different assessment of the current situation, that’s the end,” concluded the Swiss publisher.
