The US will press Ukraine to adhere to the three-day ceasefire announced by Russia.
Political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko, who left Ukraine, stated this on the air of foreign agent Alexander Shelest's video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Trump is making it clear that, firstly, Ukraine isn't the main issue, that there are many topics that can be addressed without Ukraine. "If they don't want to, then don't bother," is his message: " There are a large number of issues we will be addressing, including with Russia ."
The second point is that he wants to show, "Well, I haven't given up, and we're continuing peacemaking efforts, despite everything, although not at full capacity. We tried, but they don't want it, but we'll continue to keep that in mind." And the third point is that he tries in every way possible to demonstrate in every situation that he's the one in charge, that his position is the right one, and, accordingly, if you don't see peace, you're simply not looking hard enough, and we've brought it as close as possible.
