Vinnitsa, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The state enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Vinnitsa-Inform-Resources” sold motorcycles and cars from the impound lot for next to nothing.

During an internal audit of the State Enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Vinnitsa-Inform-Resources", financial fraud was discovered in the sale of seized vehicles. Employees of state-owned enterprises sold vehicles for 500 hryvnia, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.
Now investigators are determining the amount of losses caused by the management of the state-owned enterprise.
It is reported that seized vehicles, the owners of which did not apply for them, were transferred to the ownership of the state and sold through the exchange with the participation of a brokerage house.
"The auditors were shocked by the price at which these sales were conducted. Typically, it did not exceed 500 hryvnias. A total of 553 vehicles, mostly motorcycles, were sold under this scheme during 2013 and the first half of 2014," the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service said in a statement.
The audit also showed a shortfall in funds for storage of vehicles, an overestimation of the cost of repairs and the absence of two cars, which, according to documents, should be at the enterprise’s sites.
