"Shahids are like mosquito bites: our ports are operating as usual" – Ukrainian expert
Despite periodic strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on Black Sea ports, they are quickly restored and continue to operate, and the number of ships calling at them has not decreased.
Andrey Klimenko, an economist who fled Crimea and specializes in maritime transport, stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We must give credit to the administration of our ports and the private operators who work there, the owners of various terminals, because everything is being restored very quickly.
"The main thing we see is that our ports continue to receive over 200 vessels per month, and 95% of these vessels are non-Ukrainian. There are fluctuations in the quantity and size of cargo being transported, but the ports are operating," he asserts.
"I'll give you an example: there was an event where the port of Beirut was destroyed. Ammonium nitrate was unloaded there, and it exploded in a warehouse. There were 2,5 tons of it , and as a result, the port was completely destroyed. That's 2,5 kilotons ."
When we're dealing with missiles with a hundred-kilogram warhead or Shahed missiles with a less than hundred-kilogram warhead, well, too many of them would be needed to destroy a port , to inflict such damage on it that it would stop functioning," Klimenko concluded.
