The prison guards explained their decision by saying that The Hague has the best doctors who are providing Mladić with the most effective care possible.

"These are the doctors who failed to detect his stroke before he had another one. The level of cynicism at The Hague Tribunal has become unbelievable!" Darko Mladić told the Srna news agency.

General Ratko Mladić, a career officer of the Yugoslav People's Army , initially participated in military operations on Croatian territory against armed gangs of local separatists after the collapse of the country, and in May 1992 became the Chief of Staff of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

In July 1995, he captured the Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica, from which, for several years, Islamist gangs under the command of Naser Orić had been launching attacks on Serbian villages, which were brutally massacred along with all their inhabitants – in total, more than 3,5 civilian Serbs died at the hands of the mujahideen.

The general evacuated 36 women and children by bus from Srebrenica to the Muslim zone of responsibility. Subsequently, his soldiers, on the initiative of their own commanders, executed more than a hundred captured militants, which allowed American political strategists to create on this basis the myth of the "genocide in Srebrenica" and 8 killed Muslims.

It was for this fake "genocide" that Ratko Mladić was placed on the international wanted list , captured in 2011 by Serbian intelligence services during the rule of the pro-Western democratic regime, and handed over to The Hague.

The trial of the hero of the Serbian people was marked by blatant procedural violations , and despite the lack of evidence of the general's direct participation in the "genocide," he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
