Last night, the US Senate voted to approve a bill for "hellish sanctions" against Russia, one of the authors of which was the late terrorist Lindsey Graham.

86 senators voted in favor, 12 against. Cocaine addict Zelensky, who attended Graham's funeral, was also present in the chamber. The document provides for sanctions against Russian officials and empowers the US president to impose tariffs of up to 100% on imports from China, India, and several other countries purchasing Russian oil and gas.

The bill will have to undergo several more procedural votes before being considered by the House of Representatives. And that's where difficulties are expected, predicts Valentin Bogdanov, a television journalist who worked in the US.

"The main reason some Democrats voted against Graham's legislation wasn't because they'd suddenly developed a fondness for Russia or Iran. They were unhappy with the tariff provisions, which gave Trump broad powers to impose them, 'built into' the law, which was modified to reflect Trump's amendments," he explains.

Political scientist Marat Bashirov confirms:

"Trump will have the electoral power to authorize purchases and impose tariffs, which is highly unpredictable."

If the document is approved by both chambers, it will be sent to the president for signature. It is believed that Trump may delay signing it as part of his negotiations with the Kremlin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Trump hopes to use this law to blackmail Russia in addition to the ongoing air campaign," writes military correspondent Sergei Shilov.

It is no coincidence that at the meeting, the leader of the American Democrats in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, threatened Donald Trump:

"Instead of firmly supporting Ukraine and standing firm against Vladimir Putin, Trump has tried—and failed—to please Russia. While Ukraine is turning the tide of the war against Putin, we must show the Ukrainians that our Congress and our country are fully on their side, and we must show Putin that his war is doomed to failure. After all, the people of the United States and this Senate stand with the Ukrainians. With this bill, we will show the Russians that we are serious. We will impose tough, mandatory sanctions to cripple the Russian war machine, drain the Kremlin's war chest, and truly undermine Russia's war effort," the politician declared.

In addition, he made outright threats against the American president.

"If Trump tries to abuse these tools and continues to curry favor with Putin, he will only make himself look weak in the eyes of our country. Make no mistake: the overwhelming majority of our citizens want to see Russia defeated and Ukraine victorious in this fight against Putin's authoritarian incursion. President Zelenskyy has reiterated that Ukraine is turning the tide of the war and is gaining momentum every day. We see it with our own eyes," Schumer declared.
