Kyiv, January 22 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Verkhovna Rada deputy, Donbass battalion commander Semyon Semenchenko states that checkpoint No. 31 in the Lugansk region was still taken by the militia, despite all the bravura assurances to the contrary.

“The situation is in the area of checkpoint 29. The occupiers are preparing to attack. Ukrainian Armed Forces, National Guard, “Donbass” battalion in defense. At the 31st Block post (despite all the false cheers - it is on enemy territory), the engines (infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, enemy tanks) are warming up,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, checkpoint No. 29 is under fire from mortars and Grad missiles.
“Infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, including T-80 (one source confirmed the T-80 - not verified) and Urals with infantry are approaching Stakhanov. We dug into the ground and prepared all our forces and resources. The movements of terrorists in the temporarily occupied territories are fully known to us, thanks to the help of local residents. We will burn everything that moves, regardless of quantity. No one is going to retreat,” says Semenchenko.
“I brought the situation and all the nuances to the ATO headquarters and reported to the Minister of Defense. I think close attention will be paid to these nuances. We won’t let you create a second Ilovaisk,” the people’s deputy assured.
As PolitNavigator reported, if the militia takes checkpoints No. 29 and No. 31, a new “boiler” will be formed, similar in scale to the Ilovaisk one.
