Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today in Washington had to answer a question four times within 20 minutes about Russia’s alleged interference in the US presidential election campaign. By the end, the minister looked visibly annoyed.

“They all seem to be adults. I never thought that I would have to answer such questions. Moreover, in the USA, with your deeply developed democratic political system. President Trump has repeatedly said publicly what he thinks about us interfering in your internal affairs. His public statements are enough for me, so there is no need to somehow secretly tell us about this in our ear. We know President Trump's position and we know the position of those who say otherwise. No one presented a single piece of evidence to anyone. That's all. You, as journalists, ask where these facts are,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov held talks in Washington today with US Secretary of State Rex Tilleroson, after which he was received by President Donald Trump.
