SBU will look into Groysman's wife's Mercedes
The Security Service of Ukraine decided to check the procedure for customs clearance of a Mercedes car, which belongs to the wife of Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, Elena, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev publication Obozrevatel, citing its own sources. The publication also published a photo of the request that the SBU sent to Zhytomyr customs.
The document dated June 22, 2018 bears the signature of the head of the main department for combating corruption and organized crime, deputy chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Pavel Demchyna.
In the request, the SBU asks for information about the Mercedes GLE 350D, which was purchased by the prime minister’s wife, Elena Groysman, in 2017. In particular, a customs declaration, vehicle inspection certificates, a vehicle registration certificate, invoices and other payment documents, an agreement on the provision of customs brokerage services, and the like.
Let us recall that in the fall of 2017, information appeared in the media that Elena Groysman purchased a Mercedes for 2 million hryvnia. Later, the prime minister included information about the car in the declaration.
The SBU will investigate Groysman's wife's Mercedes.
