The SBU threatens to imprison for 10 years the social activist who erected a memorial plaque to Olesya Buzina
The leader of the Komsomol members of Ukraine, Mikhail Kononovich, became a defendant in a criminal case initiated by the SBU under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - “Actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order, or the seizure of state power.”

The occasion was Kononovich’s speeches, where he called on his like-minded people to “fight the Kyiv junta with all legal methods.”
The criminal case initiated by the SBU threatens a prison term of up to 10 years. Kononovich has already entered into an agreement with a lawyer.
“As you know, evil spirits rage especially violently before death. And the evil spirits (aka rats), driven into a corner, try to bite more violently,” the Komsomol commented.
Kononovich is known for twice installing a memorial plaque to Oles Buzina at the entrance to the building where the writer lived and was killed, despite opposition from nationalists.
Kononovich is also one of the leaders of the Russian community of Lutsk.
During the by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada in 2016, Kononovich was beaten by Nazis with rebar.
