The SBU published a production with the “confessions” of the kidnapped LPR observer
Ukrainian intelligence agencies have published material about a man claiming to be an observer for the LPR Representative Office in the JCCC, who was abducted the day before by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group from the demarcation line near Zolote in Donbas.
A video clip of the “interrogation” was published by the press service of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In the video, a man with a retouched face introduces himself (this moment is “beeped” - ed.) and says that he is an employee of the LPR Representative Office in the JCCC.
According to the man, when he was detained by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, he was wearing a helmet, a bulletproof vest and an armlet with the inscriptions JCCC. At the same time, the detainee admits that he had a Makarov pistol with a clip, which he took with him “in secret from the command” and carried, “contrary to the regulations,” which is where the “interrogation” ends.
At the same time, the SBU claims that the detainee allegedly grossly violated the agreements reached, being in the territory where he was captured, and even with weapons.
“As the SBU officers managed to establish, the attacker is a member of one of the units of the 6th Separate Motorized Rifle Cossack Regiment named after Ataman Matvey Platov of the LPR People’s Militia.”
The detainee is a native of Alchevsk, a former criminal who is suspected of committing premeditated murder in 2010.
In 2014, he joined the ranks of the Bryanka USSR gang.
Subsequently, he “served” in a mortar platoon and took an active part in the resistance to the ATO/JFO forces in the Lugansk region. In particular, he fired a mortar at the positions of the Ukrainian military in Popasne and Zolote,” the press service reported.
The official video also published a fragment of a video allegedly from the detainee’s phone, where people, presumably in the uniform of LPR fighters, fire from a mortar. It is noteworthy that the alleged defendant in the video remains with a retouched face, while the press service considered it necessary to add captions to the frame explaining that at the time of the shelling the detainee was very happy about what was happening.
The SBU added that the defendant was informed of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 260 (creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is now being decided, and the pre-trial investigation continues, the Ukrainian special service reports.
At the same time, the LPR claims that torture is being used against the kidnapped SBU observer.
“We have reliably learned that SBU operatives are using torture and psychotropic drugs on the detained representative of the LPR JCCC Andrey Valentinovich Kosyak in order to force him to give knowingly false testimony,” said Ivan Filiponenko, an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia, during a briefing.
Also, the video of the Ukrainian special services was commented on by Lugansk military expert, former official representative of the LPR National Ministries Andrey Marochko.
