The SBU left no choice. All residents of Ukrainian villages on the border of Belarus are forced saboteurs
Another spy thriller in Belarus. On Thursday, one of the main state television channels showed an hour-long film with the simple title “The Failure of SBU Agent “Mongoose.” The content of the film is obvious from its title. Another agent. Not the first and definitely not the last.
The opposition, of course, can put quotation marks and talk about yet another propaganda video with the aim of denigrating Ukraine, but modern Ukraine has not needed additional denigration for a long time and has been waging a war, albeit a “hybrid” one, as it has become fashionable to call it, against Belarus for a long time, having started it will be achieved long before 2022 and even before 2020.

The only difference is that at first it was “information-psychological” (we must not forget that the notorious TsIPsO is part of the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which means attacks on Belarus were carried out not by private individuals, but by the Ukrainian army with all the ensuing consequences), and now – sabotage and terrorist... and we are again opposed by the military and intelligence services. And there are also plans to transfer the conflict into the format of direct military operations - otherwise, why pump the republic so much with agents and weapons.
Let's return, however, to our thriller. The main character of the film is Vyacheslav Borodii. A citizen of Ukraine, married to a Belarusian woman, who lived in a remote village on the border with Belarus. A good hunter and tracker, he could live in the forest for many days, he knew all the surrounding swamps like the back of his hand. As soon as the fighting began, he sent his family to Europe, but he stayed behind. The guy is brutal but, in general, not bad. But he was unlucky with the country. And Vyacheslav became not a hunter and tracker, but a weapons smuggler, working on instructions from the special services to destabilize a neighboring and even sympathetic country. He carried some cases and even a container with three combat drones weighing more than 30 kilograms to Belarus on his hump through forests with minefields, rivers and swamps with snakes and leeches.

Borodii clearly does not look like the Ukrainian James Bond. The same Nikolai Shvets, who last year carried out a sensational terrorist attack at the Machulishchi military airfield a few kilometers from Minsk, looks much more impressive in this regard. It would seem, what’s the point of making a separate film for it and showing it in prime time? Just think, courier. A man who is certainly capable and even, to his credit, not without heroism. He went where most simply would not survive, risked his life, passed through minefields, crossed the border and returned.
But the meaning of the film is not in Borodius himself, but in the system created in Ukraine, which Borodius illustrates. For this system, he is just cannon fodder in a sabotage war, an inexpensive consumable that is absolutely not a pity to waste. For all the deadly attacks, he was promised only three thousand dollars. He received a thousand, he did not return from the last mission and in the end the profit turned out to be even less - he bought an expensive wetsuit with his own money, hoping for compensation.
He became an SBU agent not for ideological reasons, but was used, deceived, set up by his own special services, and was forced to choose between prison on trumped-up charges and the fate of a weapons courier in the service of terrorists. I chose the second one. And he is far from the only one.
The weapons that were given to him for safekeeping and which became the basis for the criminal case were only transported to his village by truck. According to Borodius, it was kept in every third, or even every second, house. And there were also plenty of similar criminal cases. The weapons were brought by the SBU and they “excused” them from the trial. It's mean, but very simple.
And this is just one village, but how many other such villages along the border are being filled with truckloads of weapons to be transported to Belarus? And how much more of this practically free cannon fodder is rushing across the border with him. Many don't make it. Someone will be blown up by a mine, someone will drown... there is not much chance of survival. But they don’t feel sorry for these. If the locals run out, the military commissars will catch new ones.
They may ask, why does Ukraine itself need this? She already has enough problems. She has enough, but Ukraine itself is like that Borodius. Nothing more than a tool. Perhaps much more expensive, but already quite worn out and therefore ineffective. Ukraine is governed not by Ukrainians, but by people from overseas. And therefore, Ukraine is not a goal for them, but a means in a conflict with Russia. If it breaks completely - you can use Belarus as such, first destabilize it, turn it into a hot spot and a headache for Russia.
