Kyiv, May 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Most activists of the so-called. “Maidan self-defense”, conscripted into the National Guard with pomp, turned out to be unprepared to participate in hostilities in the Donbass, and have already returned to Kyiv.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Gennady Moskal stated this in an interview with Reporter magazine.

“The renaming of the internal troops took place in order to find a use for the Self-Defense, so that they would not sit on the Maidan with piggy banks. But in such a short time it is impossible to train a fighter. The self-defense fighters did not serve long and returned to the Maidan. And what remains in the National Guard are mostly professional contract soldiers: those who served under Yanukovych are still serving now,” the parliamentarian said.

“We have no experience of real war. Don’t believe in any “Fains”, Solmali pirates - all fairy tales. We have not taken part in any armed conflicts, that’s why we are fighting “as soon as we can,” Moskal also said.
