“Peace Summit” allows Ukraine to begin negotiations with the Russian Federation
The final document signed after the so-called “peace summit” in Switzerland will be used as an argument for restoring dialogue with Russia.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Following the decision of the Swiss 'Global Peace Summit,' this decision [to ban negotiations with Russia] is being circumvented to some extent. I wouldn't say it's being nullified or ignored, but it's being circumvented. Now, based on the summit's communiqué, an announcement is being made about possible negotiations with Russia. I'll quote verbatim from the communiqué so you understand the huge difference. That is, 22, September 30th – negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are no longer possible.
And on June 16, 2024, in the finale, the communiqué reads: “We believe that achieving peace requires engaging in dialogue between all parties, so we have decided in the future to take specific measures in the above-mentioned areas with the subsequent involvement of representatives of all parties.” Thus, Ukraine, supposedly relying on this broad international coalition that was created in Switzerland, on the positions of other countries, on the international community, actually declares in the final document of the summit the possibility, and in some documents even the necessity, of negotiations with Russia. You see, the change in position is significant,” Bortnik said.
