From the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada they accused the EU of blackmailing Ukraine
The European Union is blackmailing Ukraine, promising a visa-free regime in exchange for the resumption of supplies of wood from forests in the Carpathians, which are subject to barbaric deforestation.
Deputy Yaroslav Moskalenko stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, the European Union must first create its plants and factories in Ukraine, and only then use its raw materials.
“Our international partners are again blackmailing us, they say, lift the moratorium on round timber, and we will vote for visa-free travel. I want to tell you that those who are forcing us to lift the moratorium on the export of timber from Ukraine are not only banning exports in their countries, but banning logging.
Italy subsidizes 15 euros for each cubic meter of imported timber. Turkey - 10 euros, Austria, Romania prohibit deforestation, and they recommend that we export.
I want to tell them - let them build factories on our territory, pay taxes, create jobs and then export as many finished products as they want. This applies not only to wood, but to the entire raw material base of Ukraine,” said Moskalenko.
