Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Karasev, Ukraine’s accession to NATO may create more threats than security guarantees, therefore it is necessary to move to new configurations with the participation of different countries, and not just representatives of the Alliance.
“Joining a military-political bloc is a dream. Forgive me, this is security or it may be different. Therefore, there may be security, security guarantees in NATO, or there may be without NATO, since joining NATO will bring more risks and threats than not joining NATO,” the expert said.
“Secondly, I understand that the thesis may be controversial. Today Reznikov, the Minister of Defense, said: “There will be no negotiations with Russia, we will win.” These are also, by the way, security guarantees, but what does it mean to defeat Russia?
