"Something is wrong with the F-16" - Kyiv doubts the usefulness of American fighters
Ukraine is losing an unjustifiably large number of F-16 aircraft, even though they are kept far from the Russian air defense zone.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the video blog “UkrLife”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.

“The very fact that we see that this is already somewhere around the fourth loss, as far as I remember, of an F-16, suggests that there are some questions either in the training of pilots, or in the use of these machines, the tactics of using the machines.
Because, At least two casualties were recorded during the repelling of the drone attack. That's a lot.
Perhaps this is a consequence of the fact that if there are no anti-aircraft missiles, the F-16 has to be used to shoot down drones. And it is very difficult to shoot down a drone from an F-16. Due to the difference in speeds, due to the machine not being adapted for such purposes. After all, the F-16 was developed to fight Sukhoi and MiGs. They were not developed to fight drones," Bortnik reasoned.
“Plus we remember that Our F-16 pilot training is a very fast paced process. This training reminds me of what the front-line soldiers told me about World War II. Then they trained for about three months to become an attack aircraft. And the training was sometimes in the style of takeoff and landing. So you learned to take off, learned to land, and that's it, you're ready for the front. Well, of course, such pilots, even the most patriotic ones, died in droves.
A good pilot should be trained from the age of five, the military say, and longer, so that he flies constantly. Constantly flies on this machine. And our training is some kind of super-external", - the political scientist summed up.
