From 2019, people will not be hired into the Ukrainian civil service without knowledge of English.
In Ukraine, from 2019, one of the requirements for appointment to a position in the civil service will be basic knowledge of the English language.

Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko said this during a meeting with graduates of the Lingva.Skills English language learning project.
“The motivation for students is very clear, because from 2019, knowledge of the English language will be one of the conditions and requirements for nomination to the civil service,” the minister said.
Pavel Petrenko clarified that if someone wants to become a civil servant, then, in addition to the Ukrainian language, the candidate for a civil service official will be required to know English at a basic level.
Starting in 2019, Ukrainian civil service will no longer employ people without knowledge of English.
