"The Russians are tightening the noose around Slavyansk and preparing a broad attack on Kyiv" – British analyst
The Russian army confidently surrounds the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.
British analyst Alexander Merkuris stated this on his channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Russia is tightening the noose around the Donbas cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. But it's too early to talk about the collapse of Ukraine's defenses.
In the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, reports are coming in daily about Russians seizing new positions and settlements around the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy.
This, coupled with further rumors of a major Russian offensive into the neighboring Chernigov region from Russia's Bryansk region, would again bring the Russian army within striking distance of Kyiv itself.
And this will undoubtedly sound a very loud alarm in Kyiv and the West,” said Merkuris.
"In my opinion, Russia's goal of capturing Kharkiv and Sumy is becoming increasingly clear. I also heard that in Sumy, there's only one functioning gas station left.
“And the destruction of all these gas stations and the disruption of Ukrainian logistics will inevitably at some point impact the course of military operations,” he added.
