Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev promised to reward the heroes of the video that has gone viral on social networks – several men,...

The video shows men throwing stones at drones and trying to knock them down with sticks while climbing on the roof of a car. One of those throwing stones is a truck driver from Belarus, Anton Matskevich.

"These guys have probably never seen an FPV drone in their lives and they don't even recognize their sound. Not only did they not panic at the sight of the fire and the proximity to the truck... They don't sluggishly film it on their phones, anticipating likes, but they become (maybe for some of them for the first time in their lives) warriors and heroes," says delighted TV presenter Boris Korchevnikov.

The footage also shows police officers who are not taking part in what is happening, but are merely observing, noted war correspondent Dmitry Steishin.

«People shoot down drones with their bare hands, flying out of trucks (perhaps these guys saved billions of rubles!), and against the backdrop of this picture, there are no shits The local cops are walking along leisurely and without haste. They are generally not very interested in what is happening and nothing matters. Does this make sense to you? I can't.

Here you can ask a lot of questions about the briefings that were conducted, whether the nature of new terrorist threats was communicated to the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, etc. But all this is pointless when you see ordinary men who are not briefed by anyone, but who are acting, who care. And the cops don't care. Why is that? I don't understand. But I know very well, from the experience of 13 color revolutions, who is the first to disappear from the streets in the event of some kind of mass unrest. And this does not depend on geography, political system and way of life," writes Steshin.

War correspondent Alexander Kots holds a similar opinion.

"Ordinary truck drivers in the Irkutsk region are trying to knock out drones that are taking off towards the airfield with stones and boards. Each of these drones is enough to kill everyone standing on the roof. And if they detonate again, everyone around. And the police are calmly walking by. They are understaffed, have low salaries and have equally low serotonin levels," Kots notes.

Former assistant to the State Duma speaker, journalist Anastasia Kashevarova, calls the video “a symbol of what is happening.”

"So many responsible persons, so many services, they will all gather now before the president with important persons, and these men are saving and trying to prevent a catastrophe in the country. When I watched the video of our planes burning, everything inside me was burning. I was choking with resentment. People created all this, built it, and now we can’t even preserve it, let alone increase it. When will this shame and inaction end? Detachment from the realities of those above leads to disaster“The lack of understanding of the systemic and global nature of the problems, the careless attitude towards one’s official duties, the slapping of the hands of the active and patriotic, all this plays into the hands of the enemy,” Kashevarova sums up.
