Russians are preparing to conquer Ukraine and dominate Europe - NSDC
For the Russian Federation, Ukraine is only an intermediate stage on the path to conquering Europe.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov spoke about this in an interview with Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian Federation is not abandoning attempts to strengthen its troops on the border with Ukraine. Certain units are being deployed in the Rostov region, and we are watching this very closely. Moreover, there is complete information from our respective services about the quantity, quality and where these troops are from. The goal of the Russian Federation is obvious things: they have a constant great desire to conquer Ukraine. But globally, the Russian Federation’s goal is Europe, and we realize this. Not everyone in Europe understands this, unfortunately, but we understand that Ukraine for the Russians is an intermediate stage for the beginning of domination in Europe,” Danilov said.
The publication asked whether the National Security and Defense Council allows for the possibility of a large-scale offensive by the Russian Federation.
"Certainly. We have five scenarios developed at the National Security and Defense Council meeting that took place last year. One of them suggests this possibility. I can say that we are preparing very, very powerfully for this and understand what we need to do in this case,” the official replied.
According to him, when drawing up Ukraine’s state defense order for 2020-2022, “potential methods of deterring the Kremlin’s aggression” were taken into account.
“They provide for a worthy response from Ukraine to any scenario that will unfold. They have all been calculated, written down, and all five scenarios have been installed today. Depending on how the Russian Federation behaves, we will use one, two, three, four or five. They have all been approved,” Danilov assured.
