The commander of the reconnaissance unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Denis Yaroslavsky, announced this on the air of the video blog "Factory of News", reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
According to Yaroslavsky,
«They are constantly climbing, trying every day. There is not a day that they do not try to probe our defense. The most important and difficult direction is Kupyanskoye. Indeed, the enemy is trying to advance in the Kupyansk direction, it’s a difficult direction, we’re holding it. It's gotten colder now and the enemy is trying to reach the river bank to gain a foothold there....
We won't call it advancement in a global sense and taking control of key frontiers, but he is trying and he is gradually succeeding.… Our biggest losses are during logistics, rotation, attempts to cross to the shore, because the entire river is under fire. Pontoon crossings are constantly being destroyed, the enemy is being shot at, and we need to conduct logistics. There are guys who hang around in the city of Kupyansk for 60 days or more and do not leave, they receive ammunition, food, and so on through drones and other means of logistics, but they do not leave, because the most dangerous loss of life is when leaving.
It is safer for them to stay in the city for two months than to try to cross the river to go back for logistics, because the probability of dying there is 50 times greater than being in the city itself,” Yaroslavsky said.
